We should design the concrete grades according to the structural design and soil conditions at site. The Cost of concrete varies depending upon the grades.
As per IS 456, Following Concrete Grades are presently using for the building works.
M10, M15, M20, M25, M30, M35 & M40
"M" refer to the Mix & Number refer to the specified 28 days cube strength of mix in Newton / Square millimeter (N/mm2)
The Mix Proportions of Grades of Concrete are mentioned below:
M10 - 1 Cement: 3 Sand: 6 Aggregate
M15 - 1 Cement: 2 Sand: 4 Aggregate
M20 - 1 Cement: 1.5 Sand: 3 Aggregate
M25 - 1 Cement: 1 Sand: 2 Aggregate
Cement Contents for below mentioned Grades of Concrete (varies depending on the structural design):
M10 - 230 kg / Cubic Meter
M15 - 260 kg / Cubic Meter
M20 - 320 kg / Cubic Meter
M25 - 352 kg / Cubic Meter
M30 - 422 kg / Cubic Meter
M35 - 483 kg / Cubic Meter
M40 - 508 kg / Cubic Meter
Thanking You.
